Animals in danger

Pandas

Pandas feed mostly on bamboo and because of climate change, there is a mass loss of bamboo in their natural habitat in China.

Green Turtles

Green turtles have a hard time adjusting to certain temperatures. The temperatures also play a role in reproduction. The baby's gender is based on the temperature. If in hot weather it will be a female and with the temperature rising every year, female turtles will hatch more leaving males behind.

Asian Elephants

For these Elephants to survive, they need 40-80 gallons of water per day and with the water levels decreasing it will be increasingly harder for them to find the water they need. The warmer weather also helps invasive plants thrive which will outweigh all the plants the elephants eat.

Polar Bears

Polar bears live in the Arctic and Climate change is in fact hitting the Arctic quite hard. The sea ice is melting and so the bears have less area to hunt on and this reduces their food and threatens them and their overall survival. With the sea ice melting their habitat is slowly disintegrating.

Adelie Penguins

These penguins are in danger because their food resources, like Krill which is found under ice sheets, is slowly disappearing because the ice sheets are melting.

Snow Leopard

Because of certain region changes occurring in consequence to climate change, snow leopards are chased out of their habitat and have a hard time adapting to other conditions.
